Known
as Prusa in antiquity, Bursa is renowned for its 14th century royal mosques,
the Ulu Mosque and Green Mosque and Mausoleum being the most impressive. The
spice markets and massive covered bazaar, with its Bursa silks and cotton fabrics,
are musts to visit, as is the Turkish Islamic Arts and Crafts Museum. The city
is also famous for its ski resorts.
