This glorious site lies at the very tip of the Datça Peninsula where the Aegean meets the Mediterranean. Founded in the 4th century BC, Knidos prospered as a trading port and was also home to renowned intellectuals. The area is strewn with magnificent archeological remains, such as amphitheaters, friezes, a necropolis, church, and temple foundations.
