Rhodes is the capital and largest island of the Dodecanese. Its famous Colossus was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The perfectly intact medieval old town has four kilometers of sand-colored walls, decorated with battlements, turret and towers, and encircles narrow cobble-stoned lanes leading to the street of the Knights and the magnificent Grand Masters Palace.
