This Hittite sculptors' open-air workshop was operated from 1375-1335 B.C. At that time the workshop appears to have supplied the leading Hittite centers with sphinxes, mountain gods, lions and relief plaques. Visitors can see all the steps undertaken in the sculpturing, from the cutting of the stones to the preparation of the carved drafts and their completion.
