1987 - Visiting Turkey for the first time, Tamera Neufeldt realizes that she has discovered an uncut gem. She is instantly attracted to the warm hospitality and the natural beauty of the country and its people.
Selim Bozkurt is busy managing a Bodrum hotel in which she stays. They discover a mutual enthusiasm for all things travel related.

1988 - Envisioning an opportunity to share their passion for travel and distinctive service with others, partners Tamera and Selim set out on their own, founding Neyzen Travel and Yachting in Bodrum.

Neyzen starts off in association with Germany’s largest tour operator to Turkey (Öger Tours), becoming their incoming agency for land operations in the Southwest Aegean region.

1989 – They branch out into yachting, organizing cruises on board privately rented wooden schooners called gulets. (http://neyzen.com.tr/Yachtingpage.htm)
